DIESEL FUEL CONTAMINATION
|
THE PROBLEM
The most common operational problems with diesel engines are fuel-related. Straight from the pump, diesel fuel is contaminated with water, microbes, and other solids. Contaminated fuel leads to poor motor performance, premature engine failure, shortened duty cycles, unplanned downtime and expensive repairs. The early symptoms of fuel contamination are poor performance, poor fuel economy, exhaust odors, injector failure and heavy smoke during operation.
Exercising your diesel generator once a week won't solve the problem.
Using the same additive twice a year won't solve the problem.
THE SOLUTION
Have Megawattage™ Power Solutions analyze your fuel twice a year at our test lab to insure that microbiological organisms are not going to prevent your generator from starting up when you need it. Megawattage™ Power Solutions will create a multi-additive treatment program for you and during our bi annual visits, we will treat your fuel for you.
Once Megawattage™ Power Solutions has the final results from our test lab, we will begin developing a historical record for you. Then, you will be able to track the progress that we are making in cleansing your fuel and stabilizing the tank.
BI-FUEL
What does "bi-fuel" mean? |
|
In simple terms, dual combustion. The bi-fuel system allows your diesel generator set to consume both diesel fuel and natural gas to operate the engine. After conversion to bi-fuel, the engine is able to operate on either 100% diesel fuel, or alternatively, on a mixture of diesel fuel and natural gas (or other methane based fuels). At no time, however, is the engine able to operate on natural gas exclusively. |
